Established in 2000 the College of International Education (CIE) is a self-funded unit of the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) offering full-time Associate Degree (AD) Higher Diploma (HD) and Undergraduate (UG) Honours Degree Programmes at the Shek Mun (Shatin) campus. It is a major education providing unit of the School of Continuing Education (SCE) one of the seven Faculties/Schools of currently enrolls over 3500 students and is committed to the Universitys mission of providing quality whole-person higher education with a Christian heritage. Applications are now invited for the following position:
Assistant Programme Manager / Senior Programme Officer ()
The appointee will provide coordination and administrative support for the Associate Degree and Higher Diploma Programmes of the College of International Education (CIE) at the Shek Mun (Shatin) campus.
Responsibilities:
- Manage student academic activities and programme administration including class and examination scheduling course registration examination matters grade processing graduation checking teaching related support student record maintenance etc.;
- Provide technical support to the Student Information System and class timetabling system;
- Compile statistics and reports;
- Offer IT project support and administrative assistance to committees;
- Supervise staff; and
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A bachelors degree preferably in Computer Science or IT related discipline with at least five years of relevant work experience (candidates with at least three years of experience will be considered for the post of Senior Programme Officer);
- Substantial experience in student information system operations and development would be an advantage;
- Excellent IT skills and strong competence in computer applications (e.g. Word Excel PowerPoint Chinese word processing HTML);
- Solid knowledge of data extraction processing and analysis;
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Putonghua);
- Good communication and interpersonal skills attention to details organised and analytical mindset;
- Ability to multitask under tight schedules; and
- Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract ending in August 2027.
Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
