Your opportunity

Our Leasing team carefully curate the total Westfield experience ensuring each destination delivers a powerful mix of fashion dining fresh food and entertainment each playing a critical role in the overall customer experience.

We have an opportunity for an experienced Regional Leasing Manager to join the Scentre Group team.

You will lead a high-performing team of Leasing Executives who work closely with new and existing business partners to deliver leasing and retail solutions to meet their needs and connect them to customers within our living centres.

You will support and coach a team to negotiate deals that deliver agreed financial metrics and mutually beneficial outcomes for both parties.

This role is responsible for ensuring the tenancy product mix in their allocated region exceeds customer expectations maximises value and grows income. Success in this role is due largely to the relationships you will have developed with your stakeholders and the emphasis you place on delivering great results for your Business will be a Key member of the Asset team responsible for delivering the leasing elements of the Strategic Asset Plan.

You will:

  • Negotiate tenancy deals obtain approvals loggingthe transaction and any variations to enable other areas of the business to document execute the lease and open the tenancy as soon aspossible
  • Research the retailmarket industry trends and individual business performance to seek to understand thebroad centre market demographics and trends demand competition and opportunities to curate the right retail mix
  • Identify new concepts and businesses and present pipeline of new opportunities and strategic deals to the Regional Manager - Leasing and RetailSolutions
  • Ensure Business Partner Leads meetings minutes and conversations of substance are captured in Scentral (Salesforce)
  • Work with Leasing Assistants to ensure critical documentation is accurate and delivery andreturn isspeedy
  • Identify and provide solutions to replace or relocate underperforming businesses andpre-lease virtual vacancies in a timely way
  • Engage with co-owners for approvals working through the Developments and Strategic Asset Management team as required
  • Prepare annual budgets and collaborate with other teams and key stakeholders to develop the Strategic Asset Plan for the asset andthe communities in which theyre located
  • Build and nurture strong businesspartnerships with retailersto deliver the leasing strategy forthe asset whilst ensuring the financialmetrics are maximised

This role is permanent full-time

What sets you apart

  • Minimum 5 years leadership experience in the property (retail or service) industry
  • Financially numerate and a strong commercial acumen
  • Experience in Property related finance or business education Tertiary preferred
  • Possess strong negotiation Skills
