Dining Server Assistants - Full-Time

The Forest at Dukes mission is to provide a caring responsible community that fosters the independence of residents of retirement age by enhancing their capability to lead purposeful active healthy and secure lives. Moreover we strive to be the preferred provider of services for older adults in the Durham community.

The Dining Server Assistant position supports the organizations mission by delivering an exceptional dining service experience. This position reports to the Dining Manager or designee.

Key Position Qualifications Include:

High School or equivalent preferred.
Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) or healthcare setting experience is highly desired.
Strong communication skills and the ability to relate to residents families guests and staff.
Ability to maintain professional attitude in high stress area.

Key Performance Success Indicators Include:

Ensures that the assigned task is understood prior to beginning the task.
Manages conflict effectively without becoming emotional or defensive
Demonstrates a sincere commitment to serving customers at the highest possible level.
Organizes and prioritizes tasks in an effort to ensure timely completion.
Makes minimal mistakes errors and omissions.
Provides assistance to others when they need it.
Performs work according to job requirements.
Consistently comes to work as scheduled and is punctual and begins work as scheduled.
