Synechron is seeking an experienced and dedicated Calypso Business Analyst with strong Fixed Income domain expertise to join our dynamic this role you will leverage your extensive Calypso platform knowledge financial services and Fixed Income experience to design implement and optimize Calypso solutions that support business objectives. Your contributions will help ensure seamless system integration compliance and operational excellence across trading risk management and financial processes. This position plays a critical role in driving innovation and delivering value to our clients through tailored technology solutions.
Software Requirements
Required:
- Proficiency in Calypso platform versions 16 17 and 18 with significant experience as a Calypso Lead Business Analyst
- Strong domain expertise in Fixed Income securities instruments and lifecycle management
- Atlassian tools: JIRA and Confluence
Preferred:
- Knowledge of Calypso Upgrade projects
- Experience with Calypso Hedge Accounting and Limits & Compliance modules
Overall Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather detailed business requirements develop user stories and define acceptance criteria aligned with project objectives
- Leverage Calypso domain and Fixed Income expertise to design and configure solutions tailored to business needs while adhering to best practices and compliance standards
- Create comprehensive documentation including current and future state process flows to secure stakeholder agreement and facilitate project alignment
- Work closely with development teams to ensure delivery of functionality that meets specified requirements and provides measurable value
- Engage with QA teams to develop test cases participate in functional testing and support automation teams in establishing regression testing frameworks
- Provide ongoing support training and procedural documentation for Calypso users to enhance system adoption and operational efficiency
Technical Skills
Databases/Data Management:
- Experience with static/reference data management within Calypso
Development Tools & Methodologies:
- Agile/SAFe methodology experience essential
- Proficiency with Atlassian JIRA & Confluence for project tracking and documentation
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in business analysis and requirements documentation particularly within financial services
- Extensive experience in Calypso Business Analyst roles involved in Calypso upgrade projects and migrating from legacy systems
- Proven track record working with Calypso versions 16 onwards especially 17 and 18
- Deep knowledge in Bonds Swaps Money Market Loans Advances Letters of Credit Workflows & SDIs Task Station Corporate Actions Scheduled Tasks Static & Reference Data and Fixed Income instruments in Calypso
- Strong domain expertise in Fixed Income securities instruments and lifecycle management
- Experience with Calypso Hedge Accounting and Limits & Compliance modules preferred
Day-to-Day Activities
- Conduct stakeholder interviews to gather detailed business requirements
- Document and translate business needs into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria
- Develop current and future state process diagrams and documentation
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure functionality aligns with business goals
- Participate in functional testing and support automation efforts for regression testing
- Provide training sessions procedural documentation and user support to facilitate effective system usage
- Regularly participate in project meetings and progress reviews to ensure alignment and timely delivery
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance Business Administration Computer Science or a related field; equivalent experience accepted
- Certifications related to Calypso or financial analysis preferred
- Demonstrated ability to quickly understand complex business processes and technical systems
- Commitment to continuous professional development in financial technology and best practices
