The opportunity

The Health Safety & Wellbeing Business Partner is responsible for

  • Provide Health Safety and Wellbeing generalist advice and support to teams in line with legislation standards and internal procedures;
  • Conduct and support the embedment of a risk-based approach to identifying and controlling Health Safety and Wellbeing risks across the organisation with a continuous improvement mindset;
  • Partner with the business to support delivery of divisional HSW improvement projects as identified and allocated in the Health Safety and Wellbeing Strategy;
  • Build and drive successful relationships across the business while actively promoting a positive and consultative HSW style to the Executive Leadership Team managers people leaders and team members;
  • Support a digital uplift in health safety and wellbeing tools and resources to support operations and field teams manage in field risks e.g. application-based risk assessments permits and audits;
  • Conduct and/or support workplace inspections internal HSW audits and incident investigations developing corrective actions as appropriate;
  • Support the implementation of a strategic health and wellbeing program that is aligned to CHWs risk profile and aligned to the diversity of our workforce;
  • Support proactive HSW culture safety leadership and change programs;
  • Provide injury/illness management support to team members for work and non-work-related purposes including Work Cover claims management as required;
  • Provide emergency management support including the role of Chief Fire Warden for the main office complex;
  • Support the maintenance of CHWs current OHS Management System accreditation including oversight of the internal audit program undertaking audits and other assessments and ensure action items are completed as required;

Wed love to hear from you if you have:

  • Degree or diploma qualifications or above in Occupational Health and Safety or relevant discipline and considerable relevant experience in a Health Safety and Wellbeing related role.
  • Experience working in a high-risk or complex industry.
