DescriptionSouthside Market & BBQ is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable full-time AP Specialist / AP Accountant to join our growing accounting team. This role will play a critical part in managing payables across multiple business entities while supporting accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls. The ideal candidate is someone who takes ownership of their work values accuracy and is interested in growing into broader accounting responsibilities over time.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable for multiple entities
- Process vendor invoices accurately and timely in Ramp and NetSuite
- Maintain strong documentation and audit trails for all payables
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Manage company credit card activity (Ramp experience a plus)
- Approve checks and electronic payments
- Communicate professionally with vendors and internal management
- Support month-end close through AP accruals and reconciliations
- Assist with continuous improvement of AP processes and controls
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in accounting finance or related field
- 3-4 years of experience in accounts payable or similar accounting role
- Experience managing payables for multiple entities or complex organizations
- Beginner to intermediate Excel skills (filters basic formulas lookups pivot tables)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize effectively
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with NetSuite
- Experience using Ramp or other corporate card platforms
- Prior experience in restaurant retail or multi-location environments
- Familiarity with internal controls and accounting best practices
