ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

ABM UK is seeking a proactive and dedicated Security Team Leader to oversee our security team operations at various client sites. You will be responsible for managing and leading a team of security officers ensuring optimal performance adherence to security protocols and delivering exceptional service to our clients. Your leadership will be vital in nurturing a culture of teamwork vigilance and professionalism that upholds ABMs high standards of safety and security.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and motivate the security team to achieve the highest level of service and compliance with security procedures.
• Conduct regular briefings and training sessions for security staff ensuring they are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills.
• Monitor the performance of your team and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
• Manage incident reporting and documentation ensuring prompt communication with relevant parties.
• Conduct site inspections to assess adherence to security protocols and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with management and clients to develop security strategies that meet the unique needs of each site.
• Act as the primary point of contact for security incidents ensuring incidents are handled effectively and timely.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of site-specific protocols legislation and emergency procedures.

• Proven experience in a security role with previous team leader or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage and resolve conflicts in a calm and effective manner.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Proficient in using security technology and related software.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
• Valid SIA Front Line License (Security Guarding Door Supervision or Close Protection).
• Ability to perform risk assessments and develop effective security protocols.
