Job Position: Assistantto Financial Manager

Location: PE / Gqeberha

Salary: R20000 to R25000 per month CTC commensurate with qualification and experience

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Qualification in Accounting/Bookkeeping advantageous
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years experience in a financial administration or bookkeeping role
  • Accounting principles knowledge is essential and experience in an FMCG environment will be advantageous
  • Experience working with accounting software: PASTEL
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Organised deadline-driven and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and in a team
  • Discreet and trustworthy when handling confidential information

Key Performance Areas:

  • Maintain and update financial records ensuring accuracy and compliance with company and statutory requirements
  • Financial reporting from Trial Balance: analysing trial balance data and final financial reporting
  • Create and analyse the costing spreadsheet after the trial balance
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions (debtors and creditors)
  • Manage cash book
  • Assist with monthly management accounts budgets and financial reports
  • Capture invoices allocate payments and follow up on outstanding accounts
  • Liaise with suppliers clients and internal teams to resolve financial queries
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team and assist auditors when required
  • Ensure compliance with company policies internal controls and relevant financial regulations
  • Assist the Financial Manager and National Bookkeeper with any additional requirements
