Senior School Leidschenveen (SSL) is looking for a full time Business BTEC teacher from August 2026 to also lead the Economics and Business Head of Department (HoD) you will lead a small but dedicated and collaborative team. The core purpose of this role is toprovideacademic leadership and support of the subject area within the school. TheHoDis a champion for the subject and responsible for high quality delivery of teaching and exemplary learning by their team leading to full accountability for learning outcomes.
The role will initially be based at Senior School Leidschenveen (SSL) and may require the candidate to work in another campus in the future).
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have strong curriculum knowledge and a successful track record in teaching Business BTEC at post-16 level. Experience of teaching Economics in the IBDP will be seen as an advantage. You will be an excellent classroom practitioner but also be able to lead effectively and design and implement outstanding curriculums in the subject areas. A willingness to fully subscribe to our school mission Academic Excellence Breadth of Experience and Character & Community (ABC) is fundamental to our appointment to this post.
The Role:
The career-related element of the IBCP is the Pearson Business BTEC Diploma and Economics forms part of our IBDP offer. You will be expected to collaborate with other subject leads within the school as well as engage with Business and Economic teachers at our sister school in Voorschoten.
