MAHUBE-OTWA is actively recruiting a service minded individual with a strong independent initiative and excellent driving skills to work as a part time Bus Driver for our Detroit Lakes Head Start Sites. The purpose of this position is to transport children to/from Head Start on a daily basis including field trips. Responsible for cleaning and inspecting the bus and child restraints as well as assisting with maintenance. Go home each day knowing you made a difference in the life of a child!
Pay: $20.44 - $21.95
Schedule: Part Time Day Shift Monday Thursday 16 hours/weekwith summer layoff

FACTS ABOUT HEAD START BUSES
- In addition to the Bus Driver there is a bus monitor on all Head Start Buses
- All children (ages 2-5) are secured in a 5 point harness
- Head Start buses are small X weight 16 passenger

- HS Diploma or equivalent and at least one year of driving experience.
- Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Standards and Minnesota transportation regulations.
- Able to read write and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence.
- Must be able to apply common sense solutions in standardized situations.
- Must be able to work in a positive and cooperative manner with parents children and staff.
- Must effectively and appropriately address young children including typical behavior situations.
- Must honor private and confidential information.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Must possess valid MN commercial driver license with passenger endorsementor be willing to obtain.
- Must have acceptable driving record.
