About the Role
As a Medical Director (Managing DVM) you will play a vital role in leading and mentoring the veterinary team ensuring high standards of medical care and driving the hospitals long-term success. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing medical leadership and oversight for the practice.
- Managing associate veterinarians and supporting their growth and development.
- Establishing medical protocols and ensuring compliance with veterinary regulations.
- Partnering with hospital leadership to develop a strategic vision for the clinic.
- Leading team meetings performance reviews and staff development.
- Collaborating with a Regional Operations Manager to drive hospital growth and efficiency.
- Fostering a positive hospital culture that emphasizes teamwork professional development and high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree from an accredited program.
- Active Texas veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain one).
- 5 years of veterinary experience preferred.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to mentor and inspire teams.
- Strong emotional intelligence and ability to manage staff effectively.
- Commitment to high medical standards and ethical veterinary practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
