Role Overview
The Nurse Manager supports the Director of Nursing in overseeing clinical services staff supervision resident care coordination medication management and regulatory compliance. This role plays a key part in ensuring high-quality care and a safe supportive environment for residents.
Key Responsibilities Clinical & Administrative Oversight

Supervise nursing staff caregivers and medication assistants

Provide coverage in the absence of the Director of Nursing

Monitor staffing assignments and clinical coverage
-
Participate in interdisciplinary meetings
-
Assist with pre-admission evaluations and Individualized Service Plans (ISPs)
-
Conduct resident assessments and document changes in condition
-
Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation
-
Coordinate care with physicians pharmacies hospice rehab and home health
-
Oversee medication ordering storage and administration
-
Ensure compliance with medication protocols
-
Participate in QA meetings and audits
-
Maintain compliance with policies and regulatory standards
-
Ensure HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
-
Communicate with families and care partners
-
Support resident care coordination and operational needs
-
Assist with emergency preparedness and drills
Qualifications
-
Active New York RN license
-
Bachelor s degree preferred
-
3 years supervisory or leadership experience in senior living or healthcare (Senior Care or Memory Care experience preferred)

Proficiency in EHR systems and Microsoft Office
-
Ability to work flexible schedules
Physical & Professional Requirements

Ability to stand walk and perform repetitive hand movements
-
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and assist with mobility if needed
