Summary
Join Woodwell Climates Facility team as the Facilities Technician to help maintain the Centers Campus. The Facilities Technician is crucial to our organizations ability to serve the community as it directly contributes to providing a clean safe and functional environment for this role you will be involved in performing daily operations for both the internal and external maintenance of campus buildings remote sites coordinating contractors and may perform both routine and emergency repairs. This is a self-motivated position with a strong commitment to safe work practices.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Perform a range of maintenance and repair tasks on building systems including HVAC plumbing electrical and lighting
Perform and document preventive maintenance programs for all mechanical electrical and site systems to minimize downtime and extend the life of equipment including HVAC building management systems (WebCtrl) lighting electrical piping and wastewater
Contributes to updates for systems drawing documentation and procedures for site systems and equipment under their purview or as assigned
Provides repair recommendations and oversees system upgrades preventative / seasonal maintenance for site systems or as assigned by management
Actively maintains inventory for engineering systems parts system accessories auxiliary equipment and maintenance routines through Woodwells procedures
Identifies contractors that align with Woodwells mission to work on improvements renovations maintenance grounds construction repairs inspections and other tasks as needed
Woodwell committee participant as requested by departments or as assigned by management
Perform routine maintenance: carpentry dry-wall painting and minor equipment repairs
General grounds maintenance landscaping and snow removal
Communicates with Woodwell staff and visitors on site layout facilities related activities policy and procedure
Participant in periodic janitorial service for Woodwell spaces: common spaces kitchens offices and restrooms
Supports and staffs Woodwell events: internal and external
Participant in off-hour response (On-Call)
Report the the Director of Facilities
Must have the following Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Broad knowledge base in various trades and a proven track record of working independently to ensure our building systems and equipment operate safely and efficiently
Strong set of technical skills and intermediate soft skills that allow them to work independently on more complex projects
Experience with grounds care and building maintenance
Experience with office building cleaning
Shipping and receiving experience
Demonstrated ability to perform tasks such as lifting pushing and climbing
Demonstrated ability to work with motorized equipment in varying weather conditions
Excellent communication and organization skills
Trade license or certification is a PLUS
Qualifications:
2 years of experience
Bachelors degree or equivalent vocational/technical training

Ability to lift up to 50lbs up to 10 times/day

Ability to work at heights including working on the roof of a 3-story building
Ability to shovel snow in extreme temperatures
Ability to work with a variety of equipment from handheld tools to heavy equipment
Exposure to outside elements in all seasons
Exposure to biting and stinging insects
Work Environment
Office mechanical spaces and outside environments; this role is conducted in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments across all 4 seasons in multiple locations in Falmouth MA.
Hours of Work
This role is paid on a salary basis.
Typically full-time employees work 40 hours during a Monday through Friday workweek as well as on call hours. However this is salaried nonexempt position. Therefore the individual is expected to work as required to complete the duties of the position. This will include occasional weekend work.

Classification and Compensation:This is a full-time salaried nonexempt position the annual salary range starting at $58000 dependent on qualifications/experience. Woodwell offers a generous benefits package and work life balance.
