Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Completed or currently enrolled in an accredited automotive technology program.
Basic understanding of automotive systems and components.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Required Skills:

General requirements of an Automotive Service Technician are (this is not an all-inclusive list): Ability to read interpret write and speak technical documents in English. Valid drivers license Ability to obtain a Texas State Inspector certification (requirements ) Be able to maintain an organized neat and safe work area Possess a high level of motivation energy and customer focused attitude Be reliable and able to work a flexible schedule depending on business needs Be able to stand on concrete or metal surfaces for extended periods of time Be able to work in an environment that frequently experiences extreme hot and cold temperatures loud noises and exhaust fumes. Be able to lift and move inventory items trash cans and other work-related items (up to 50lbs.) Be able to work at a rapid pace for long periods of time. Be able to push pull pull-up bend at the knees and waist twist body at the waist raise and hold arms overhead turn head/neck/shoulders as needed grasp and hold tools and other items with hands - all for extended periods of time and/or many times throughout the work shift. Must have ASE certifications
