Job Description

Position: District Accountability Trainer
Reports to: Director of Accountability and Exceptional Children
Terms of Employment: 12 months full time
Pay Grade: 65
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Nature of Work

The District Accountability Trainer serves as the lead data manager for the district and works closely with the Student Information Systems Coordinator to ensure accurate compliant and effective use of student data systems. This position provides direct operational support to schools during staffing vacancies leads onboarding and mentoring for new and early-career employees and delivers sustainable professional development to strengthen accountability and data practices across the district. The role requires close collaboration with the Director of Accountability and Exceptional Children and cross-functional partners to align systems training and support in way that enhance student programming and improve employee retention.

Education and Experience

  • Experience with data management business information systems or a related field
  • Experience in school-based or district-level data management accountability student information systems or related operational roles
  • Experience providing training coaching or professional development to adult learners preferred
  • Experience with school finance or bookkeeping processes preferred

Essential Functions/Typical Tasks

  • Serves as the districts lead data manager modeling best practices in data accuracy compliance and accountability reporting
  • Work in close partnership with the Student Information Systems Coordinator to support effective implementation and use of student information systems
  • Provide direct on-site or remote support to schools during staffing vacancies or transitional periods to ensure continuity of operations
  • Train onboard and mentor newly hired data managers and provide ongoing support to employees within their first one to three years
  • Design and deliver sustainable professional development for school-based and district staff focused on data systems accountability and operational practices
  • Develop training materials documentation and tools that promote consistency standardization and long-term capacity building
  • Collaborate with the Director of Accountability and Exceptional Children and the Student Information Systems Coordinator to align training efforts with district priorities and accountability goals
  • Cross-train with the Finance Department to provide bookkeeping and financial process support to schools when necessary
  • Support schools with audits compliance reviews reporting deadlines and data verification processes
  • Analyze trends and recurring challenges to inform continuous improvement in training systems and school support structures

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of student information systems accountability requirements and school-based data processes
  • Thorough understanding of data accuracy compliance standards and reporting timelines
  • Ability to train coach and support adult learners with varying levels of experience
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and build productive working relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities meet deadlines and respond effectively in high-need situations
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to exercise sound professional judgment

Physical Requirements

This employee is frequently required to stand walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently life and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
