The Donor Services Associate is vital in providing highly personalized customer service for Boston Ballets top supporters and ensuring delivery of benefits for members in our annual giving societies.
The Donor Services Associate stewards Boston Ballets top stratum of individual donors by working independently and using their own judgment on special ticket handling services donor recognition procedures and event and benefit fulfillment strategies. They work collaboratively with members of the Development and Marketing teams and are Developments chief liaison with the Box Office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Concierge Ticketing
- Ticket handling for donors of $2500
- Liaison to the Box Office for Development ensuring smooth processing from initial requests through to delivery of tickets and staying apprised on Box Office policy to effectively steward patrons joining us in the theater
- Manage VIP subscription renewals and requests coordinating available VIP seating in the Opera House for development use
- Manage the Premium Subscription program
- Maintain Run-of-Show listings for donors to track VIP seating and backstage tours for distribution to key Ballet and Opera House staff
In Theater Experience
- Collaborate with relationship managers to support the donor theater experience including special access and benefits for Trustees Advisors and Emeriti as well as Benefactors Circle and E. Virginia Williams Visionaries Circle members and prospects
- Serve as primary liaison to the Boston Ballet Volunteer Association Tour Guides coordinating trainings scheduling donor and prospect tours
- Oversee theater welcome notes for donors
- Coordinate the Nutcracker Bear public appearances at Development events in the theater and around the city
- Serve as key representative in the Opera Houses VIP lounge during Company productions such as check-in for opening night celebrations and lounge hosting duties
Donor Stewardship and Cultivation
- Serve as the frontline representative for the Annual Giving team
- Support special events throughout the season including onsite at the studios and theater
- Participate in annual donor renewals and solicitations
- Collaborate with relationship managers to share information gathered to elevate donors experience
- Update fundraising database with new and current biographical relationship and affiliation information
Requirements
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- 2 years of customer service experience
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends in particular during the production season
- Excellent computer/point-of-sales processing skills required
- Experience with Tessitura preferred
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
- Self-starter able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Professional demeanor with excellent written and oral communication skills
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
