ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
The Private Partnerships & Fundraising Division (PSP) is responsible for mobilizing resources from the private sector to support the World Food Programmes (WFPs) global mission. WFP is the worlds largest humanitarian organization saving lives and changing lives delivering food assistance in emergencies and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience. Every day over 5000 WFP-chartered trucks are on the road supported by around 80 aircraft and 20 ships delivering food and assistance to those in need.
Despite our efforts the needs remain immense and growing driven by a deadly combination of conflict climate shocks economic instability and forced displacement. As of 2025 over 345 million people face acute food insecurity across 79 countries. To meet these needs and build a more sustainable predictable and flexible funding stream we began investing in growing our individual giving programme in 2019 and this year will have completed the first phase of our strategy (2020-2025).
WFPs second phase of the private sector strategy for sets out an ambitious plan to further scale income from individuals enabling us to reach more people with life-saving assistance. Our approach is digital-first leveraging global reach and cost-effective tools to engage supporters addition to digital channels we are now expanding into Face-to-Face (F2F) and Direct Response Television (DRTV) fundraising to diversify acquisition and deepen engagement.
This centralized global strategy positions WFP to leapfrog traditional models and build a robust individual giving programme that delivers long-term impact.
INDIVIDUAL FUNDRAISING
WFPs Individual Giving programme launched in 2019 and has grown into a USD 50 million annual operation raising over USD 100 million in its first five years. The programme is built around a digital-first strategy led by a centralized global team that recruits supporters primarily through digital channels.
We deliver a multi-lingual multi-channel supporter experience designed to offer a best-in-class donor journey. Donors are recruited in English French German Spanish and Arabic with additional capabilities in Korean and Chinese. Supporter engagement is delivered through email SMS WhatsApp outbound telephone and Meta. To expand reach and diversify acquisition Face-to-Face (F2F) and Direct Response Television (DRTV) fundraising are being introduced as complementary channels in the next phase of our strategy.
Looking ahead the programme aims to scale significantly targeting USD 100 million in annual income by 2030. A key focus will be growing the volume and value of regular donors with a goal of 50% of income coming from a sustainable base of regular giving by the end of the strategy period.
The Regular Giving Coordinator will play a vital role in ensuring long-term donor commitment and loyalty. By focusing on retention and donor development strategies you will help strengthen the connection between supporters and WFPs mission. Through stewardship engagement initiatives and strategic coordination your work will enhance donor satisfaction improve retention and increase lifetime value making a tangible impact on the success of our fundraising efforts and the lives of millions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Regular Giving Retention & Stewardship Support
Assist in developing and implementing donor retention strategies to reduce attrition and increase donor loyalty and value through a coordinated multi-channel approach.
Outbound Telemarketing Operations
Coordination of day-to-day tasks (including data transfers-imports/exports weekly reconciliation of data follow-up of invoices etc.).
Coordinate with external agencies to ensure smooth execution of campaigns including briefing and call listening etc.
Monitoring daily results.
Help improve processes to increase efficiency.
Multi-lingual multi-channel donor journeys (Email Telemarketing SMS and Whatsapp)
Coordination of email journey content refreshes including conducting information hunting and fact-checking working with related stakeholders to find relevant content and resources.
Coordination of translations proofreading and troubleshooting of journeys.
Monthly review of journey performances.
Assisting in the development of new journeys.
Email Marketing and other marketing channels
Coordination of RG related content development including appeals thank you emails impact reports engagement messages (from data brief to creative brief to follow up on translations and proofreading and troubleshooting).
Coordination and monitoring of the RG programme related A/B tests including creation of new donation forms coding and performance analysis.
Liaising with other team members from planning to execution.
Support with special projects and undertake additional responsibilities as required.
Data Management Monitoring and Reporting
Weekly monitoring of all SX RG channel results and share results in relevant channels.
Daily/weekly/monthly monitoring of regular giving payments report issues and support in troubleshooting/resolving issues.
Support the extraction and analysis of donor retention data to inform decision-making.
Assist in preparing reports on key retention metrics such as donor retention engagement levels and donor lifetime value.
Ensure donor feedback and retention insights are integrated into program improvements.
Inform data analyst team on changes to campaigns campaign codes to ensure accuracy of reports
Administrative & Coordination Support
Provide administrative support for retention-focused campaigns including scheduling meetings preparing documents and coordinating logistics when necessary.
KEY DELIVERABLES
RG retention and development campaigns are delivered on time and aligned with the Supporter Experience team objectives and action plan
Performance reports are monitored regularly and shared with the team
Donor journeys are maintained and regularly reviewed and updated
All RG content (emails appeals reports) is coordinated and delivered on schedule
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Education
Bachelors degree in marketing business administration communications or a related field.
Technical and Soft Skills
Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CRM reporting and project management systems (e.g. Salesforce Asana Tableau or similar)
Ability to work to deadlines and follow clear instructions
Strong analytical skills (reporting and analysis)
Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills;
Ability to plan and organize work with reasonable supervision;
Ability to take initiative to solve problems and seek solutions;
Work effectively in a multi-cultural environment and international organization;
Demonstrate ability to quickly shift from one task to another to meet multiple support needs;

Work history
At least 3 years of experience in fundraising donor retention marketing or donor relations desirable have worked on other non-profit regular giving programmes.
Languages
Excellent written and spoken English is required (proficiency/level C).
Additional proficiency in one or more of the following languages French Arabic Spanish or German is desirable.
