The Role: Senior Technical Project Manager Surveillance

During training and orientation this role will be based in Chantilly and then transition to Bethesda MD.

As a Senior Technical Project Manager on our Surveillance team you will:

• Lead technical delivery across Surveillance and supporting workstreams aligning engineering integration testing and deployment with the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).

• Decompose complex requirements into actionable work packages.

• Manage technical dependencies and resolve cross-domain integration risks.

• Ensure mission success by driving collaboration across teams and stakeholders in a fast-paced mission-critical environment.

Basic Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship Required.
• Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• 12 years of experience in project management or technical program leadership.
• BS/BA Degree or 10 years experience with MBA/MS
• Experienced inradar modernization FAA NAS systems ATC integration configuration control vendor management and technical leadership.
• Strong understanding of project management principles risk management and performance tracking.
• Proven ability to manage project scope schedules budgets risks and dependencies using structured project management methodologies (Agile Waterfall or hybrid).
• Strong stakeholder management skills with experience briefing senior leadership and external customers.
• Hands-on experience with risk identification mitigation and issue resolution in technical project environments.
• Proven ability to develop and manage detailed project schedules and budgets.
• Ability to conduct technical reviews validation activities and post-implementation assessments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to FAA programs or NAS systems.

• Experience supporting FAA NextGen air traffic management systems or federal technology modernization efforts.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Management or a related field.

• PMP (Project Management Professional) or PMI-ACP certification.

• Background working in high-availability safety-critical or regulated environments (e.g. aviation defense transportation or critical infrastructure).
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
