Summary:
-
Perform inspections using engineering drawings work instructions technical specifications QA procedures and related documentation
-
Conduct preliminary in-process and final inspections of aircraft structures and systems
-
Verify functional operation inspect for FOD (Foreign Object Debris) and ensure proper documentation
-
Witness verify and document manufacturing process steps
-
Perform conformity and first article inspections to ensure compliance with FAA-approved procedures
-
Ensure proper use and storage of tools and equipment
-
Conduct area inspections to verify compliance with standards and specifications
-
Follow all safety protocols and promote a safe work environment
-
Report hazards and participate in safety investigations
-
Support continuous improvement initiatives
-
Provide technical support to manufacturing personnel
-
Assist with process and quality improvements
-
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
-
High School Diploma or GED required
-
1 year of quality inspection experience OR 2 years of GAC manufacturing experience
-
2 years of manufacturing or equivalent aerospace experience preferred
-
Working knowledge of shop mathematics
-
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and/or CATIA models
-
Proficiency with basic shop tools and equipment
-
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
-
Completion of formal inspection training program within 90 days
-
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
