This role supports large-scale commercial and institutional facilities where precision coordination and long-term performance matter. Youll play a central role in shaping mechanical design standards while mentoring younger engineers and driving project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical system design efforts for multi-discipline MEP projects from concept through construction support
- Oversee HVAC system strategy including equipment selection load evaluation and performance optimization
- Coordinate closely with electrical architectural and controls teams to align building automation goals
- Review drawings specifications and modeling work to ensure technical accuracy and constructability
- Provide engineering leadership during client meetings site visits and commissioning phases
Qualifications
- BSME and active Professional Engineer license required
- 10 years of mechanical engineering experience in commercial building environments
- Strong background in Building Automation integration and controls coordination
- Advanced proficiency using Revit for mechanical modeling and documentation
- Experience performing engineering analysis for complex facility systems
- Deep understanding of HVAC design principles and building performance
- Ability to guide junior staff and manage technical workflows
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
