Job Title: GIS Specialist/GIS Admin 3
Client:Philadelphia Department of Agriculture
Location: Dauphin County
NOTE:Position is fully remote but candidate or their vendor is required to report onsite at the start and the end of the engagement to inventory and confirm the condition of Commonwealth issued equipment. CEDC will not send or accept equipment through the mail.
This position serves three key roles within the organization:
Provide direct support of PA Department of Agriculture GIS systems and guide architectural decisions
Development configuration deployment and maintenance of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) GIS products such as ESRI Field Maps ESRI Survey123 ESRI Collector ESRI Operations Dashboard etc.
Assist as high-level administrator for GIS systems and data
Role Description:
- Advise and assist in GIS architecture solutioning
- Develops configures deploys and maintains GIS COTS solutions such as ESRI Survey123 ESRI Collector etc.
- Performs hardware and software installations relocations testing and routine maintenance.
- Leads efforts to troubleshoot CADD/GIS system hardware and software problems.
- Expertise in teaching/conveying technical and/or functional courses/concepts and developing training related materials.
- Demonstrates proven experience in troubleshooting with little supervision.
- Assists in developing documentation standards and direction for systems.
- Assists in troubleshooting GIS system hardware problems and works with the appropriate service and warranty vendors to make the necessary repairs and fixes.
- Tracks version upgrades and notifies proper parties of available updates to GIS Systems software.
- Assists with resolving IT helpdesk tickets phone and online problem reporting and maintaining problem report records.
- Maintains current inventory of all hardware software upgrades and fixes for each site.
- Maintains configuration charts of current inventory.
- Maintains data backups and data archives and provides data retrieval from backup.
- Monitors system status and data integrity.
- Able to communicate status to managers and project sponsors.
Qualifications:
- 2 years previous experience designing configuring and administering ESRI COTS products including Survey123 Dashboard Field Maps.
- 2 years previous experience administering an ESRI ArcGIS Online organization.
