| Position Summary | The role encompasses ensuring accurate financial reporting in accordance with IND AS standards including consolidation. It involves collaborating with statutory auditors & finalization of quarterly and annual financials. Coordinating with internal auditors ensures compliance with internal control standards. Reporting to management & Tata Sons. Compliance with SEBI filings XBRL submissions and regulatory updates is imperative. Cross-functional engagement. It also requires engagement with DoT. | |||||
| Key Responsibilities | Preparation of Financial Statements: Ensure adherence to accounting standards (IND AS) and timely delivery of standalone financial statements for each of the five entities as well as consolidated financial statements. Engagement with Auditors: Collaborate with statutory auditors and various verticals within the finance for timely closure of audit issues and finalization of quarterly and annual financial results. Internal Audit and IFC Audit: Coordinate with the internal audit team to ensure timely closure of internal audit activities and compliance with internal control over financial reporting (IFC) requirements. Engagement with FP&A Team: Work closely with the Financial Planning & Analysis team before circulating financial results to ensure accuracy and alignment with forecasts. Reporting to Management and Tata Sons: Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results to internal management and Tata Sons including ad hoc and annual consolidation packs. Litigation Demands and PPR Analysis: Compile demands under litigations and report them in financial statements based on PPR (Probable Possible Remote) analysis. Chart of Accounts and Controls: Monitor the chart of accounts and internal controls across finance verticals to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data. Reconciliations and Variance Analysis: Review reconciliations between the general ledger and other systems as well as general ledger movements along with conducting variance analysis to identify discrepancies. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with SEBI filing requirements including quarterly submission of results to stock exchanges annual XBRL filing and providing inputs for the annual report. Also finalize minutes of quarterly audit committee and board meetings. Accounting/Regulatory Updates: Stay updated on accounting and regulatory changes and present relevant updates to the team. Cross-functional Engagement: Collaborate with legal regulatory treasury and other teams for various purposes such as regulatory updates movement in borrowings and issues related to AGR demands. Engagement with DoT Officials and CAG: Interact with Department of Telecommunications (DoT) officials on AGR demand issues and engage with Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) and special auditors for revenue audit. Ensure effective communication and collaboration across teams to fulfill these responsibilities efficiently and accurately.
