What we are looking for:

Were looking for a motivated and organised trainee who is keen to learn and start their career in administration. This entry-level role is ideal for school leavers or young people wanting real workplace experience in a supportive team environment while completing a nationally recognised qualification.

This traineeship has been made available with the assistance of funding under the Queensland Governments Skilling Queenslanders for Work First Start Program. The First Start Program primarily targets young Queensland school leavers and disadvantaged job seekers considered at risk of enduring prolonged period of unemployment and accordingly certain information is required from applicants to confirm eligibility for participation.

Funding Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:

• Youth aged 15-24 years
• Aboriginal or Torres Strait Island people
• Mature-age job seekers (45 years or older)
• Non English Speaking Background
• People with a disability

What your day will look like:

• Assisting with basic finance tasks such as data entry and reports
• Supporting payroll and accounts payable processes
• Typing documents correspondence and meeting notes
• Organising records and maintaining accurate information
• Providing friendly customer service to staff and customers
• Working as part of a team and learning new skills every day

What youll need for success:

• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word Excel email)
• Willingness to learn and complete a Certificate III qualification
• Ability to work well in a team
• Positive attitude and good time management
• Class C Drivers Licence (or ability to obtain)

Whats nice to have:

• Interest in administration finance or local government
• Confidence working with numbers and data
• Customer service experience (school work or volunteering)
