The Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Management Team Lead is a working leader responsible for managing a complex CRE loan portfolio while providing day-to-day guidance and oversight to a team of Portfolio Managers. This role partners closely with Relationship Managers Credit Administration and Risk to ensure high-quality underwriting timely execution strong credit quality and compliance with Bank policies and regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and underwrite a portfolio of complex Commercial Real Estate relationships supporting Relationship Managers and Credit Administration.
- Independently structure and underwrite CRE loans in accordance with Bank policy risk appetite and regulatory standards.
- Prepare review and present accurate timely credit approval packages.
- Monitor maturing and expiring loans annual reviews and renewal activity driving timely completion through nCino.
- Participate in client and prospect meetings to assess financing needs and identify risks and opportunities.
- Lead day-to-day team performance management including goal setting ongoing coaching and feedback mid-year and annual performance reviews and development planning.
- Provide guidance review and quality control for credit work produced by Portfolio Managers ensuring consistency and adherence to policy.
- Support workflow management and prioritization to meet business audit and regulatory deadlines.
- Identify and escalate emerging portfolio risks and recommend appropriate actions.
- Partner with Relationship Managers to collect financial information coordinate client outreach and prioritize renewals modifications and new credit requests.
- Conduct periodic site visits to maintain familiarity with collateral properties and client operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business or related field; formal credit training preferred.
- Extensive experience in Commercial Real Estate portfolio management and underwriting.
- Proven ability to independently underwrite complex CRE transactions.
- Strong knowledge of credit policy regulatory requirements and CRE risk management.
- Must have strong knowledge of commercial and consumer loan and deposit products.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and credit systems (experience with nCino preferred).
- Excellent communication organizational and relationship management skills.
Salary Range:
$92869.00 - $152569.00
Individual base pay may vary on additional factors such as the candidates experience job-related skills relevant education geographic location and other specific business and organizational needs.
