Job Summary

Job Description:

A Chartered Accountant (CA) in Steel Manufacturingmanages all financial aspects focusing oncost control project accounting budgeting forecasting taxation and compliance working closely with operations for financial reporting risk assessment and strategic decision-making often involvingcost accounting(IND AS/GAAP) ERP (SAP) andinternal/external audits requiring strong analytical skills and experience in the heavy industry/manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Planning & Reporting:Budget analysis forecasting revenue monitoring cash flow fund flow and financial statement finalization.
- Cost Management:Cost control product pricing project accounting (especially for expansion/capex) and tender preparation.
- Audit & Compliance:Managing internal/external/statutory audits ensuring adherence to accounting standards (IND AS) and regulatory requirements.
- Taxation:Direct taxmanagement returns assessments and compliance.
- Financial Systems:Managing ERP systems(like SAP FICO) improving financial processes and ensuring data integrity.
- Risk & Strategy:Assessing financial risks recommending preventive measures and providing strategic financial advice.
- Stakeholder Liaison:Communicatingwith banks auditors management and other internal teams.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- CA Qualification:A qualified Chartered Accountant is mandatory often with specific attempts/pass percentages.
- Industry Experience:Experiencein heavy industry steel or manufacturing is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills:Strong grasp ofcost accountingERP (SAP FICO) MS ExcelIND AS andtaxation.
- Soft Skills:Analytical problem-solving communication project management attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
