Kendal at OberlinsNursing Department is currently seeking caring and compassionateCare Partner Assistants for various 8 and 12 hour shifts. The Care Partner Assistant will provide support and assistance to our Care Partners (STNA/CNA) for our Assisted Living residents. The Care Partner Assistant will aide in providing an engaging therapeutic living environment for those individuals with cognitive impairment. Additionally the role will be responsible for including but not limited to:
- Providing physical support for residents with Activities of daily living (ADLs) showers baths.
- Answering resident calls and determining how best to help them.
- Ensuring residents receive an appropriate diet by reviewing their dietary restrictions food allergies and preferences.
- Measuring and recording food and liquid intake and urinary and fecal output and reporting changes to nursing staff.
- Recording vital signs including blood pressure pulse temperature and respiration rate as requested by nursing team.
- Ability to think and work independently and with direction and communicate with staff members in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Proper use of mechanical lifts.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of Home Health Aide or Non-certified nursing assistant required.
- Must be able to bend stoop push pull lift transfer residents weighing 50 to 250 pounds.
- Must be capable of clearly communicating with residents.
- Must be able to reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
