We have an opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant to join their team of staff in thepharmacydepartment.
This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include:
Assist in the preparation and labelling of medicines for inpatients outpatients and discharge prescriptions under appropriate supervision.
Support the safe supply of medicines ensuring accurate picking packing and distribution to wards and departments.
Monitor stock levels and expiry dates helping maintain accurate inventory across the pharmacy and clinical areas.
Receive and check deliveries ensuring correct storage of medications in line with temperature and security guidelines.
Assist with the completion of relevant records prescription tracking and data entry on pharmacy systems.
Maintain accurate filing and organisation of documentation related to medicine supply and patient care.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
Good general education including literacy and numeracy skills.
Experience in a customer service healthcare or stock-handling role.
Good communication and organisational skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to safe working practices.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under supervision.
