About the Role

We are currently looking for aFacilities Assistanttofill a vacancy andjoin ourFacilities Team. Reporting to theFacilitiesManager this role will be responsibleforday to day andlong-term maintenanceof Semex role supports any special or one-time projects within the organization.

What You Will Do:

Assist the Facilities Manager with routine facilities maintenance and inspection
Equipment care maintenance and provide troubleshooting support for equipment repair
Operate turf cutting equipment weed trimmers small hand tools in lawn and green space maintenance
Perform horticultural/forestry maintenance
Perform physical work as required in a mainly outdoor environment
Set up for special events
Complete daily time sheets and log books as required
Other duties as assigned

What You Need to Succeed:

A high school diploma
A valid drivers license
Completed Forklift Training or certification is an asset
Knowledge of HVAC plumbing electrical carpentry and mechanical systems (including relevant equipment and tools) is an asset

Work Location & Minimum Pay Rate

The expected contract duration for this role is April through November. This is an inperson position based in Guelph requiring onsite work five days per week. Regular working hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with occasional oncall availability outside of these hours as required by the organization. The position offers a minimum starting wage of $20.00 per hour with the potential for additional compensation based on relevant experience and qualifications.
