The Annuity Case Manager is responsible for managing annuity applications from submission through policy issuance. This role serves as the primary liaison between advisors carriers and internal teams to ensure accurate processing timely follow-up and exceptional service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented organized and experienced in annuity new business operations within an insurance distribution environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage annuity cases from application submission through policy issuance and funding
- Review applications for completeness accuracy and compliance with carrier and regulatory requirements
- Serve as the primary point of contact for financial advisors agents and internal sales teams
- Coordinate with insurance carriers to track case status resolve outstanding requirements and expedite processing
- Follow up on pending items such as signatures disclosures suitability AML/KYC and transfer paperwork
- Ensure proper documentation of case notes and status updates in CRM or case management systems
- Monitor service-level timelines and proactively identify potential delays or issues
- Support advisor inquiries related to product features forms and carrier requirements
- Assist with post-issue servicing as needed (e.g. contract delivery funding confirmation)
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of annuity products carrier processes and regulatory standards
Qualifications :
- 2 years of experience in annuity operations case management or new business processing
- Experience working with fixed fixed indexed and/or variable annuity products preferred
- Familiarity with insurance distribution channels (IMO FMO BGA or broker-dealer environment)
- Strong understanding of annuity application workflows and carrier requirements
- Proficiency with CRM systems case management platforms and Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Insurance license (Life & Annuities) preferred but not required
- Experience working directly with multiple insurance carriers
- Knowledge of suitability compliance and regulatory requirements related to annuities
