Job Summary

As a Controls Development Engineer you will be responsible for developing integrating and validating model-based control solutions for vehicle platforms. This role focuses on model development embedded integration and system verification across simulation and real-world environments.

You will work closely with systems software and validation teams to ensure control strategies are robust scalable and aligned with functional safety and diagnostic requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support verification and validation of control systems through MiL SiL HiL and machine-level testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth system integration optimise performance and address technical issues during development and testing.
  • Implement functional safety requirements and onboard diagnostics within control software.
  • Design develop and refine control algorithms using MATLAB Simulink and Stateflow in a model-based environment.
  • Integrate control models onto embedded targets managing calibration activities and feature variants across multiple machine platforms.

Qualifications :

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience developing control strategies using MATLAB Simulink and Stateflow.
  • Familiarity with embedded control integration calibration and system verification/validation across simulation and physical testing.
  • Understanding of structured processes for developing and testing control systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or equivalent military experience.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with C/C and AUTOSAR-based embedded software development.
  • Knowledge of CAN/Ethernet communication networks and related calibration tools (e.g. CANape CANalyzer).
  • Practical experience supporting model-based development in complex vehicle or machinery systems.
