The Analytical Instrumentation Specialist will support the department by coordinating research activities related to the development of new analytical methods. This role is responsible for conducting method validations performing method transfers and ensuring all activities align with departmental goals.
What youll do
- Method development validation transfer assay and impurity analysis utilizing a range of analytical techniques including HPLC LC-MS/MS and/or GC-Headspace GC-MS/MS with a particular focus on lowlevel quantification of PFAs PCBs nitrosamine impurities and related analytes
- Operate troubleshoot and maintain analytical instrumentation including HPLC LC-MS/MS and/or GC-Headspace GC-MS/MS
- Experience with Triple Quadrupoles TOF QTOF and/or HRAM (High Resolution Accurate Mass)
- This role requires adherence to established procedures and policies and applicable regulatory guidelines ISO9001 and ISO17025 project timelines collaborating cross-functionally with Production and QA teams to ensure timely project execution
- Review technical data documents and proposals as required. Assist SOP training for new personnel and on SOP revisions
- Troubleshoot technical issues/ difficulties regarding experimental methods and results; Carry out and support OOS/OOT investigations
- Provide ongoing technical training and develop staff to enable them to perform technical tasks
Qualifications :
- Education: . in Chemistry Analytical Chemistry Pharmaceutical Sciences or a closely related field.
- Minimum 2 years handson experience with GCMS/MS and/or LCMS/MS operation is a must have
- Demonstrated experience with method development validation and transfer.
- Instrumentation: Proficient with Waters Xevo TQ-Sµ Agilent 6470 LCQQQ Agilent 7010 GCQQQ and/or Agilent G6230 LCTOF or equivalent instrumentation.
- Software: Proficiency with instrument control and data analysis software such as MassLynx and MassHunter Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis; strong experience with Windows OS and Microsoft Office.

- Strong project management skills time management and organizational skills.
- Self-starter; task oriented with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Physical & Working Conditions
- Working in a laboratory in a chemical manufacturing facility.
- Ability to stand on feet for up to 8 hours while working.
Additional Information :
Pay range for this role is:
Minimum: CAD $55000/ yearly
Maximum: CAD $60000/ yearly
The salary range provided covers the minimum and maximum amounts projected for this role. The base salary will be influenced by factors like experience skills and location.
