Pay :
HK$34070 to HK$55233 (HGPS Pt 13 to Pt 23) per month including Monthly Allowance
Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff at the end of each 3 years during the 9-year contract period subject to satisfactory performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provision of clinical service
- Deliver timely and effective optometric service in general clinical setting.
- Work under supervision in specialized clinical setting.
2. Patient management
- Deliver appropriate care plans in general clinical setting.
- Work under supervision in specialized clinical setting.
3. Health education and promotion
- Conduct community events to the public under supervision.
4. Clinic safety
- Follow occupational safety and health and clinic safety guidelines.
5. Quality assurance activities
- Carry out quality assurance activities as directed.
- Participate in evaluation and validation of new equipment technology and methodologies under supervision.
6. Research activities
- Participate in research activities as directed.
7. Training and development
- Actively participate in training to keep update of knowledge and clinical skills.
- Participate in the provision of training to service assistants.
Entry Requirements:
1. A degree in Optometry from a local university or equivalent; and
2. Be a registered Part I (full registration) Optometrist under the Allied Health Professions Ordinance and have a valid Practising Certificate.
