What youll be doing:
- Coordinate implement maintain report on and assist with logistics related to large and small evaluation and research projects
- Maintain and implement research protocols
- Recruit and facilitate data collection in-person over the telephone or via email using paper-based or electronic methods
- Enter and maintain data into electronic database and/or paper-based databases
- Report issues related to the implementation of a research or evaluation project to the Project Manager or Principal Investigator
- Conduct literature searches and summarize findings
- Support the analysis of quantitative and qualitative data
- Maintain participant lists and records and prepare participant recruitment materials
- Maintain project filing systems (paper-based and electronic) project hardware (e.g. tablets) and other project related technology
- Prepare reports record issues/solutions and provide project summaries
- Communicate proactively and regularly with the Principal Investigator and/or Project Manager and project team working groups and other stakeholders to keep parties informed (e.g. achievement of progress markers delays in data collection etc.)
- Support the generation and dissemination of communication materials related to projects (e.g. presentations background materials posters abstracts and/or publications)
What were looking for:
- Bachelors degree in Health Science Psychology Social Sciences or related field with courses in research design methods and statistics
- Demonstrated sensitivity and discretion for materials containing highly sensitive and confidential information
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to quickly establish rapport with participants and team members both in person and over the phone
- Ability to write proofread and edit a variety of materials including correspondence forms reports documents agendas minutes and presentation/workshop materials
- Critical and analytical thinking and problem solving skills
- Proven ability to plan organize and manage projects effectively
- Demonstrated initiative meticulous attention to detail and ability to work efficiently with multiple deadlines
- Competency using Microsoft Office (Word Excel and PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Access statistical software (such as R) and online survey software would be considered an asset
