Sr Advanced Product Development Engineer

Honeywell Sundyne is a leading manufacturer of highly reliable and efficient centrifugal pumps and compressors for use in oil and gas petrochemical chemical power generation and water processing industries.

As aSr Advanced Product Development Engineer you will join the development team for design and creation of advanced mechanical machines and components that drive innovation and sustainability in energy solutions. Your expertise will be pivotal in delivering high-quality products that meet customer needs while adhering to industry standards.

In this role you will impact the development of cutting-edge rotating equipment that contributes to energy efficiency and sustainability enhancing the quality of life for people around the globe.

You will report directly to our Development Manager and youll work out of our Arvada Colorado location on a Hybrid work schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and develop advanced rotating equipment and auxiliary systems through stage gate process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define mechanical requirements and specifications.
• Perform mechanical analysis and simulations to ensure product performance and reliability.
• FEA stress analysis and CFD modeling (Ansys Fluent/CFX).
• Create CAD models and drawings and facilitate their review for accuracy. GD&T & Engineering Drawing Literacy.

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 5 years of experience in mechanical design and development.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies.
• Proficiency in CAD/FEA software and design tools enabling effective solutions within the design process.
• Experience with mechanical analysis and simulation tools to ensure product reliability.
• Strong understanding of product testing and validation processes within stage gate processes.

WE VALUE

• Masters degree in engineering.
• 3 years of rotating equipment experience.
• Product design utilizing structural and/or CFD experience desired. Ansys experience is a plus.
• Experience in advanced mechanical design.
• Proven track record of successful mechanical design projects.
• Ability to collaborate with global teams and support team learning.
• Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices.
• Active participation in maintaining positive culture and safe working environment.

The salary range for this position is $117000 - $146000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the candidates work experience education and training key skills as well as market and business considerations.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Relocation support may be provided if applicable.
