Job Summary

Description

In an environment of continuous quality improvement the Accreditation Coordinator is responsible for coordinating continuous readiness related to the accreditation programs including Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and other regulatory agencies as appropriate and assisting with responses to initiatives. This position also handles ongoing regulatory preparedness educational planning for survey readiness technical support innovative resource development and training for accreditation preparedness. Exhibits the MHS Standards of Excellence and exercises strict confidentiality at all times.

Job Functions:

  1. Facilitates system-wide efforts to achieve and maintain regulatory compliance including CMS certification and Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) accreditation.
  2. Coordinates development and implementation of auditing processes to detect weaknesses compliance and areas of improvement. Assures improvements are made and documented.
  3. Coordinates the preparation and submission of reports responses and/or corrective action plans and follows-up with ACHC and CMS as required.
  4. Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.


Qualifications

Minimum Education/Experience Required:

  • Nursing or related accreditation experience required.
  • Associates degree preferred.

Special Knowledge Skills Training:

  • Strong understanding of accreditation guidelines.
  • Organizational skills the ability to meet deadlines.

Compensation Details: Education experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
