JM Services and Consulting LLC is a leading consulting firm based in Santa Fe Springs CA. We specialize in providing top-notch services in various industries such as finance marketing and human resources. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Proofreader to join our team on a part-time basis.
As a Proofreader you will be responsible for reviewing and editing various documents to ensure accuracy and consistency. This role requires a keen eye for detail and excellent grammar spelling and punctuation skills. You will work closely with our team of writers editors and designers to ensure that all materials are error-free and meet our high standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and edit a variety of documents including reports proposals presentations and marketing materials
- Check for spelling grammar and punctuation errors
- Ensure consistency in formatting style and tone
- Verify facts statistics and references
- Collaborate with writers editors and designers to make necessary changes
- Follow company style guidelines and ensure documents adhere to industry standards
- Meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality work
- Provide feedback and suggestions for improvement to the content team
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in English Communications or a related field
- Proven experience as a proofreader or editor
- Excellent command of the English language
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
- Familiarity with AP Style and Chicago Manual of Style
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Previous experience in a consulting or professional services firm is a plus
