This role is focused on detailed analysis cost control process improvement and cross-functional collaboration. You will be responsible for the implementation and ongoing management of the measurement systems and efficiency frameworks used to track performance and identify optimization opportunities across our capital portfolio. You will achieve these goals by leveraging a variety of analytical tools and methodologiesincluding benchmarking detailed cost analysis and process mappingto eliminate waste and drive capital productivity.
This role is hybrid and requires at least 4 days per week onsite in Dearborn MI.
ResponsibilitiesWhat youll do
Efficiency Frameworks Measurement and Process Improvement
- Lead the implementation and continuous refinement of comprehensive frameworks for measuring and improving efficiency across Capital Investments.
- Synthesize complex financial data into high-level strategic narratives for senior leadership directly influencing the companys capital allocation strategy
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and utilize established methodologies for tracking analyzing and reporting efficiency metrics using existing data sources.
- Drive transformation of financial systems tools and processes to improve cost visibility tracking and management within the capital domain.
Capital Efficiency Analysis and Initiative Oversight
- Analyze the efficiency of Capital Investments across their full lifecycle from procurement and deployment to utilization and potential reuse or disposal.
- Apply the Capital Efficiency Framework to ensure rigorous financial justification and ROI analysis for all capital requests within scope.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses into capital project costs asset utilization and related operational expenses.
- Utilize analytical methodologies including Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis Spend Analysis Benchmarking and Process Mapping to identify opportunities for improving procurement efficiency driving asset reuse and optimizing the total cost of owning and operating capital assets.
- Partner effectively with Operations Procurement and project teams to execute capital-related initiatives and track their financial impact.
QualificationsYoull have
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related quantitative field. A Masters degree or professional certification (CPA CMA) is preferred.
- 5 years of progressive experience in finance or controlling roles with a strong focus on capital expenditure (CapEx) analysis cost accounting and operational finance.
Even better you may have
- Demonstrated experience working with financial or operational efficiency frameworks.
- Proficiency in utilizing analytical tools such as Benchmarking Spend Analysis Process Mapping or TCO analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling (Excel) and data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI) for extracting and analyzing complex datasets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build credibility with both finance colleagues and operational partners.
- Ability to work independently manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to operate in white space environments comfortable with ambiguity and capable of building processes where none exist.
- Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills; ability to distill granular data into the big picture for executive-level audiences.
