About the role
As a Sonographer you will deliver a comprehensive ultrasound imaging service across a broad range of procedures within the Medical Imaging Department. Reporting directly to the Medical Imaging Manager you will work with a high level of independence using specialised equipment and advanced scanning techniques to perform high-quality diagnostic examinations for patients. This role offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in a dynamic clinical environment where your skills directly support timely accurate diagnosis.
You will undertake complex ultrasound procedures drawing on strong professional judgement technical expertise and innovative scanning approaches to achieve optimal imaging outcomes. Your work will play a vital role in informing patient diagnosis treatment and ongoing management supporting radiologists referring clinicians and surgeons to deliver safe effective and patient-centred care.
About You
You are a highly skilled and professional Sonographer who is passionate about delivering safe high-quality diagnostic imaging and working collaboratively in a patient-centred healthcare environment. You will bring:
Recognised qualifications and accreditation including an accredited post-graduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound and current registration as an Accredited Sonographer with ASAR.
Advanced clinical capability and experience with demonstrated ability to independently perform a broad range of ultrasound procedures including specialised and complex examinations using sound professional judgement and adaptable scanning techniques.
Strong communication teamwork and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams communicate clearly in writing and verbally and support the professional development of others through training and supervision.
A strong commitment to safety quality and professionalism underpinned by knowledge of safe work practices medico-legal responsibilities cultural awareness human resource principles and the delivery of imaging services that meet contemporary safety and quality standards.
