Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for key security by properly adhering to key checkout procedures.
  • Cleaning rooms includes making beds dusting vacuuming carpet moping tile removing all trash disinfecting sinks tubs and toilets.
  • Must clean a minimum of 14 rooms a day while marinating the Caesarss standard of cleanliness and delivering great guest service.
  • Supplies rooms with all amenities linens and special items as requested.
  • Assures that every room meets four-star standards prior to guest occupancy.
  • Responsible for maintaining the workstation including stocking the workstation with sheets pillowcases towels and all amenities.
  • Completes daily housekeeping reports as required by Housekeeping Supervisors.
  • Enters proper code via telephone to update checkout ready status for rooms to ensure Fast and Flawless service standards.
  • Follows all established safety and security guidelines.
  • Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrahs and encourages others to do the same.
  • Moves furniture in the room as necessary weighing up to 15 pounds.
  • Adheres to all regulatory company and department policies and procedures.
  • Secure and return the key at the end of the shift.
  • Turn in all Lost and Found items to security in a timely manner
  • Notifies supervisors of any conspicuous people or problems such as missing room items damage pets engineering problems etc.
  • Completes all other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must possess a positive attitude and demonstrate effective teamwork skills.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Prior hotel housekeeping or environmental cleaning experience is required.
  • Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals.
  • Must be punctual have good work ethics and be a reliable person with a can-do positive attitude.
  • Must be flexible with the schedule to work holidays and weekends.

Physical Mental and Environmental Demand:

  • Lifts up to a maximum of 50 pounds and frequently lifts and/or carries up to 50 pounds.
  • Position requires 20% standing 5% sitting 75% walking.
  • The physical ability to stand and/or walk continuously for the duration of the shift
  • Requires frequent bending twisting climbing and stooping; very frequent pushing kneeling and reaching overhead.
  • The physical ability to push pull and lift various furniture items such as mattresses end tables chairs ottomanslamps and tables.
  • The physical ability to tolerate any required personal protective equipment such as gloves safety glasses safety goggles and other protective equipment deemed appropriate continuously.

  • Must be able to read understand and tolerate the usage of cleaning chemicals.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced stressful environment.
  • Must have the manual dexterity to operate cleaning equipment and machines.
  • Must be able to work in areas containing secondary smoke high noise levels bright lights and dust.
  • Requires the ability to respond to speech touch smell aural and visual cues.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • $16.00 per hour.

Shift Details:

  • Morning Shift: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm
