Schedule: 24 Hours 7p-7a rotating weekends
ABOUT THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT:
The Emergency Department at Boston Medical Center South plays a critical role as the frontline of urgent care providing immediate life-saving services to over 65000 patients annually. As the only designated Level III Trauma Center in the region the department is essential in delivering specialized care in areas such as trauma cardiac stroke pediatrics and behavioral health. With advanced technology including EMS integration through Twiage and a dedicated team of skilled nurses the Emergency Department ensures rapid high-quality treatment for a wide range of acute conditions helping to stabilize patients and coordinate their continued care across the hospital.

As an RN in the Emergency Department you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional care. Using our patient-centered care model you will be uplifted by a supportive nursing organization and will be able to deliver the excellent care to your patients that they deserve.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deliver nursing care in the Department including assessing diagnosing planning intervening evaluating and educating patients
Communicate with various health care team members patients and their families
Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
Update and manage patient records
Enter and interpret computerized data/information
Follow guidelines and policies established by BMCs nursing organization
Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Experience:Prior experience in an emergency department preferred
Education:Nursing degree required: diploma ASN or BSN (preferred); Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years required
Certification/Licensure:Active Massachusetts RN license and BLS required. ACLS PALS preferred

Compensation Range:
$38.10- $77.63This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer.
