POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Operations the Facilities & Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day oversight maintenance and operational efficiency of all St Vincent de Paul Georgia facilities including the Council Office in Chamblee GA office and 10 retail locations throughout the state. This role manages vendor relationships ensures safe facilities and supports staff by creating functional well-maintained work environments. The ideal candidate has experience with building maintenance and is proactive highly organized and comfortable managing multiple sites with varying needs.
Job Responsibilities:
Facilities Management
  • Oversee maintenance repairs and general upkeep of all organizational facilities
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all locations
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify safety maintenance and compliance needs
  • Coordinate office moves renovations and space planning projects as needed
  • Ensure facilities comply with all applicable safety health and building regulations including local business licenses
Fleet Management
  • Oversee maintenance 6 to 8 vehicles ensuring that all preventive maintenance is up to date
  • Oversee any needed repairs
  • Ensure that all vehicles are in compliance with local and state registration requirements
Vendor & Contract Management
  • Source evaluate and manage vendors including janitorial maintenance HVAC plumbing security waste management and other service providers
  • Negotiate contracts monitor service level agreements and control costs
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for facility-related vendors across all locations
  • Track vendor performance and resolve service issues promptly
Operations & Administration
  • Develop and manage facilities-related budgets and expense tracking
  • Maintain accurate records of contracts warranties inspections and maintenance activities
  • Develop SOPs to address ongoing maintenance and facility related issues.
Support organizational emergency preparedness and response planning
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in facilities management operations or a related field
  • 35 years of experience in facilities or operations management preferably in a nonprofit or multi-site environment
  • Ability to conduct minor repairs and maintenance on plumbing painting touch ups dry wall repairs strongly preferred
  • Proven experience managing vendors and service contracts
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to travel regularly between multiple locations
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience supporting retail or customer-facing locations
  • Knowledge of building systems safety regulations and preventative maintenance best practices
  • Budget management experience
  • Familiarity with nonprofit operations
  • Ability to support the mission of a Catholic based non-profit organization
