JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the process management of all new construction permits and affiliated inspections related to UO development projects. Duties include reviewing and managing all permit submissions tracking the progress and working with city and county officials to ensure standards are met. Ensuring all concerns are addressed and solved through permit final approval. Ability to prioritize project needs based on the business. Responsible for the continued development of UO approved product sheets for reference. Represent UO on local and statewide regulatory boards provide feedback on proposed standard changes and be a resource for setting the Florida standard.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage prioritize and track all Universal Orlando city and county new construction permits.
- Facilitate conversations between universal project teams and appropriate city/county staff at direction of SVP External Affairs.
- Represents UO on local and statewide regulatory boards provides feedback on proposed standards changes and offers input/resource for setting the Florida standard. Track construction standards through regulated boards and ensure Universal Orlandos proactive involvement.
- Maintain approved product sheets for future permit applications.
- At direction of SVP External Affairs coordinate with annual facilities permit tracking team.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SCOPE:
Responsible for managing the processing of all new construction permits for Universal Orlando.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelors degree required
EXPERIENCE:
- 10 years of construction management and permitting experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work under deadlines.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Comprehensive knowledge of municipal permitting processes.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with building officials and Universal Orlando contract teams.
