Responsible for helping organize plan facilitate and direct the overall operations of the Life Enrichment Department in Assisted Living. Responsible for implementing programs that have been developed by the Life Enrichment Manager. These programs should meet the physical mental social physiological and spiritual well-being of the residents and their families. Ensures that all residents are acknowledged during their special events. They will coordinate a welcome to new residents and give tours of the building. They will supervise department staff in accordance with company policy.
Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines to be accurate and to handle constantly changing situations. Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people deal with stressful situations and handle conflict.
Will perform all job duties or job tasks as assigned. Will follow and adhere to all requirements regulations and procedures of any licensing board or agency. Must comply with all Benefis Health Systems organization policies and procedures.
Education/License/Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associates or Bachelors Degree in Human services field or related field preferred.
- Two (2) to three (3) years experience in directing an activities program in an assisted living environment desired
- Knowledge of state regulations for assisted living communities required.
- Experience in culture change resident directed care preferred.
