Job Summary

ERCOT is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in Java and React to join our team on a contractual basis. This role involves designing developing and maintaining scalable web applications while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

A strong advantage for this position is working knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) particularly experience integrating dynamic front-end components within enterprise content ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

Design develop and maintain web applications using Java React and related technologies
Collaborate with product managers designers and developers to ensure optimal functionality and user experience
Write clean maintainable efficient and well-documented code
Perform code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback
Troubleshoot debug and optimize applications for performance and scalability
Develop and consume RESTful APIs and support microservices architecture
Read and interpret Jira user stories to understand requirements and deliver solutions accordingly
Contribute to test automation and quality initiatives using TDD practices

Required Qualifications

Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
Strong proficiency in:
- Java Groovy and React
- JavaScript HTML CSS/SASS
Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
Proficiency in Test-Driven Development (TDD)
Strong experience with:
- Git version control
- JUnit for unit testing
- SQL and database management
- Apache Tomcat server
Familiarity with dynamic charting and user profile development
Knowledge of AI-related development including creating algorithms and models
Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment

Education & Certifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field
- OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

Experience

Minimum 5 years of related professional experience beyond degree requirements
