The Role
Teaching Chemistry across KS3 and KS4 with the opportunity to teach KS5 depending on experience
Planning and delivering challenging well-structured lessons that develop deep subject understanding
Delivering practical chemistry lessons with a strong focus on safety accuracy and scientific thinking
Supporting pupils with examination preparation and academic extension
Assessing pupil progress and providing clear constructive feedback
Working collaboratively within a successful and well-established Science department
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in Chemistry or a closely related subject
Experience teaching Chemistry at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom practice
High expectations for pupil engagement behaviour and achievement
A professional organised and positive teaching approach
