Evoqua a Xylem brand is hiring a Field Service Engineer to be on the front lines of high-purity water this role youll install set up and commission advanced water treatment systems that power critical applications around the world.
Youll bring deep technical expertise to solve complex engineering challenges in the fieldworking across diverse projects environments and customer needs. This role is essential to evaluating design concepts optimizing system performance and developing innovative solutions that push efficiency and reliability to the next level.

This role will be primarily based in Austin Houston Pflugerville or San Antonio Texas and service those markets on occasion travel to other locations in OK and TX as needed.
Responsibilities:
Design and Analysis:
Design and installation of hydraulic systems for water treatment systems especially high purity or Ultrapure Water (UPW) applications.
Evaluate and analyze project requirements and design specifications
Use computer aided design (CAD) software to create detailed drawings and models
Conduct feasibility studies and cost benefit analyses for proposed projects
Optimize designs for efficiency and cost effectiveness
Project Management:
Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors during construction and installation phases
Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards
Communicate with clients and stakeholders to provide updates and address any concerns
Manage project budgets and resources effectively to ensure timely completion
Technical Expertise:
Possess in depth knowledge of hydraulic theory and principles
Familiarity with relevant codes and standards such as ASCE 7 and ASME B31.1
Understanding of civil engineering principles and their application in hydraulic systems
Knowledge of environmental regulations and their impact on hydraulic engineering projects
High Impact Behaviors: Safety First Mindset - The ability to be independent working on site and making the best judgement calls in regard to personal employee and customer safety. Not afraid to speak out and use Stop Work Authority to prevent unsafe tasks / behaviors.
Qualifications:
A bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field with at least 5 years experience or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories principles and concepts.
Proficiency with plumbing and water related skills
Proficiency in integrated business management and CRM software.
Advanced knowledge of business development marketing strategies and brand expansion.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to achieve site specific access requirements to chemical plants medical centers oil refineries etc.
Ability to manage a project from start to finish with little to no supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP): This certification is valuable for engineers who wish to move into project management roles.
Certified Chemical Engineer (CCE): Recognizes chemical engineers who have engaged in professional development.
The estimated salary range for this position is $90000 to $110000 and company assigned pay is dependent on multiple factors such as skills experience and work location and is not typically at the top of the Xylem we offer a competitive compensation package with a generous benefit package including Medical Dental Vision plans 401(k) with company contribution paid time off paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement.
