Job Title:Vice President General Counsel
Overview
The Vice President General Counsel serves as the chief legal advisor for the organization providing strategic guidance and oversight on corporate governance regulatory compliance risk management and legal matters affecting the enterprise. This role works closely with executive leadership the Board of Directors and key stakeholders to protect the organizations interests and ensure legal and ethical operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary legal advisor to the CEO executive team and Board of Directors on corporate regulatory and operational matters.
- Oversee corporate governance ensuring compliance with federal state and local laws regulations and industry standards.
- Manage corporate contracts agreements and negotiations to mitigate risk and protect the organizations interests.
- Lead internal legal team and outside counsel providingdirectionon litigation regulatory investigations and dispute resolution.
- Develop implement and maintain policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and minimize organizational risk.
- Adviseon employment law HR policies and labor relations issues affecting the organization and staff.
- Support strategic initiatives mergers acquisitions and business development opportunities from a legal and compliance perspective.
- Oversee intellectual property data privacy cybersecurity and other emerging legal areas relevant to organizational operations.
- Provide training and guidance to employees and leadership on legal ethical and regulatory matters.
- Maintain effective relationships with external regulatory agencies industry groups and legal counsel.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; active bar membership required.
- Minimum 1015 years of corporate legal experience preferably with experience in healthcare or complex multi-site organizations.
- Strong knowledge of corporate governance compliance contract law and employment law.
- Proven experience managing internal legal teams and working with external counsel.
- Excellent leadership negotiation communication and strategic thinking skills.
- High ethical standards discretion and ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters.

- Fast-paced multi-facility environmentrequiringstrategic and operational legal support.
- Collaboration with executive leadership board members and cross-functional teams.
- Occasional travel for corporate meetings regulatory engagements or operational oversight.
- Professional office environment with high-level decision-making responsibilities.
