Job Summary

Positive Carbon is making food waste visible. We build AI-powered IoT sensors and software that track food waste in commercial kitchens giving hospitality groups corporate dining and contract caterers the data they need to cut waste save money and hit sustainability targets.

Tasks

As a Sales Development Representative at Positive Carbon you will play a pivotal role in our commercial growth strategy. You will be responsible for driving our initial market engagement through crafting outreach and researching prospects. Identifying new opportunities and booking meetings with decision-makers across hospitality contract catering and corporate dining.

This is a six-month contract with a clear path to a permanent role for the right person. Hit the numbers show you can build pipeline and the job is yours.

What Youll Do

  • Research and identify target accounts across hospitality contract catering and corporate dining.
  • Build and manage prospect lists using tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Write and send personalised outreach sequences across email LinkedIn and phone.
  • Qualify inbound leads and book discovery calls for the sales team.
  • Track all activity and pipeline in our CRM.
  • Join sales calls to understand how deals progress from first touch to close.
  • Collaborate on messaging positioning and competitive intelligence.
  • Report on outreach metrics and continuously experiment with what converts.

Requirements

What Were Looking For

  • Some experience in outbound sales lead generation or SDR work even if early-career.
  • Strong written communication you can write a cold email that doesnt sound like a cold email.
  • Organised and self-motivated you manage your own pipeline without being chased.
  • Comfortable with rejection and iteration not every message lands and thats fine.
  • Hungry you see the six-month window as an opportunity to prove yourself not a limitation
  • Interest in sustainability food systems or climate tech.
