ServiceNow Platform Proficiency: Strong understanding of the ServiceNow data model architecture and development best practices. -
Scripting Languages: Proficiency in JavaScript Glide APIs (GlideRecord GlideAggregate) HTML CSS and XML. -
ITAM Module Expertise: Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM Pro) Hardware Asset Management (HAM Pro) and potential SaaS Management. -
Core Platform Features: Experience with Business Rules Client Scripts Script Includes UI Policies Workflows Flow Designer and Access Control Rules (ACLs). -
Integrations: Experience building integrations using REST/SOAP APIs MID Servers and IntegrationHub. -
ITSM & ITIL Knowledge: Solid understanding of the ITIL framework and IT asset management lifecycle processes. -
Certifications (Preferred): ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Implementation Specialist in SAM and/or HAM. Behavioral Competencies -

Module Implementation & Configuration: Implement and customize SAM Pro HAM Pro and SaaS Management modules configuring asset classes categories workflows and lifecycle processes (procurement deployment disposal). -
Development & Automation: Develop automation using Flow Designer Business Rules Client Scripts and custom Script Includes. Create custom scripts workflows notifications and approvals for asset-related activities. -
Integration: Integrate ServiceNow ITAM with external systems such as the CMDB Discovery tools (e.g. SCCM) Procurement systems and third-party tools using REST/SOAP APIs and IntegrationHub. -
Data Management & Compliance: Configure and maintain asset discovery tools to populate the CMDB with accurate data manage data normalization and reconciliation and implement software license tracking and compliance rules. -
Reporting & Analytics: Create reports dashboards and metrics to provide insights into asset utilization compliance status and cost optimization. -
Collaboration & Support: Collaborate with IT teams product owners and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Provide technical support perform testing and maintain documentation for configurations and processes. |
