Job Summary

Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - SF-170564Role Summary:The Cloud Engineer is responsible for the overall architecture health and governance of the organization;s cloud presence. This role involves designing high-level infrastructure strategies managing complex network architectures and ensuring that the foundational platform is secure compliant and scalable. You will work extensively with Terraform to create reusable infrastructure modules that standardize resource provisioning across the Responsibilities:Platform Architecture & Governance:Landing Zones: Design and implement cloud landing zones using Terraform defining standard VPC patterns subnet structures and account hierarchies (e.g. AWS Organizations GCP Projects)Cost Management: Implement FinOps practices by designing tagging strategies setting up budget alerts and automating cost-optimization actions (e.g. stopping non-production instances at night)Security Governance: Collaborate with security teams to implement network firewalls WAFs and intrusion detection systems. Define Service Control Policies (SCPs) to restrict prohibited actions at the account levelInfrastructure as Code (IaC) Library Development:Module Development: Write test and maintain a library of versioned Terraform modules that abstract complex infrastructure configurations. These modules serve as building blocks for development teamsState Management: Architect robust state management strategies ensuring state locking and backend security to support distributed teams working on shared infrastructureNetworking & Connectivity:Hybrid Connectivity: Manage hybrid cloud connectivity solutions (e.g. AWS Direct Connect Google Cloud Interconnect Azure ExpressRoute) and VPNs to link cloud resourcesNetwork Security: Design and manage security groups NACLs and routing tables to ensure strict network segmentation
